Family Support

Being a parent or carer is a very happy and rewarding part of our lives, however we understand that it can also be challenging at times.

Below we have put together a number of resources and information sites to help to reach out, should you need support.

Bridport Family Hub is a welcoming environment where you can find support, information and guidance for all members of the family. Whether you are a parent, carer or young person, Family Hubs have something to offer you.

The Dorset Council's Family Information Service run by Dorset Education & Early Help Team offers many services to support families.

The Best Start in Life website offers a range of resources for families, including eligibility for childcare offers, information about free breakfast clubs and Best Start Family Hubs in their area, and support on pregnancy through to starting school and beyond. The website will officially replace the Childcare Choices website as the main source of information for early education and childcare support. Visitors to the current Childcare Choices website will be automatically redirected.

Support for Inter-Parental Conflicts (SIPCo), A Project to Improve Parents' Relationships, offers free support programme for parents in conflict.
