Year 6 Leavers Event at Salisbury Cathedral

On Tuesday 20th June our year six children travelled with Burton Bradstock Primary School and Thorners Primary School to Salisbury Cathedral for a diocese year six leavers service.

In the morning the children separated into groups and took part in singing, drama and art workshops.

After lunch a professional performance group brought together all the elements the children had been working on to perform the parable of the mustard seed.
Great things grow from small beginnings.

He told them another parable: The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.

Matthew 13:31-32
We managed to squeeze in visits  to see the Magna Carta exhibition and the famous overflowing font.

The Seals had lovely a day out on Tuesday 20th to Washingpool Farm.  Here’s 6 year old Evelyn’s  account of the day:

“On Tuesday we all went to Washingpool Farm.  When the coach was arriving I was really happy because I like it there.  Next we met Vicky and she took us into the classroom and told us all about the existing animals.  Then we went outside to wash our hands to have our yummy snacks.
