Welcome to Loders School

On behalf of all the children, staff and Governors, I’d like to warmly welcome you to the Loders CE Primary Academy website.

We are a small and happy primary school set in the heart of the village two miles north east of the historic market town of Bridport in Dorset. We have around 70 children on roll at the present time.

In April 2016 Loders CE Primary Academy became part of the Acorn Multi Academy trust.

Acorn Multi Academy Trust statement:

“We are six schools working together to strive for excellence in all we do. We have a clear focus on school improvement to ensure that all of the children achieve the best possible outcomes in all areas of school life.

All of the schools are in rural parts of East Devon and West Dorset, on the boundaries of Devon, Dorset and Somerset.”

At Loders we celebrate successes at every level and the culture of the school is driven by enthusiasm and a desire to achieve. We promote learning that is active and creative and encourage children to embrace challenges.  We provide an enriched curriculum that is broad and children have opportunities to participate in a wide range of cross-curricular activities such as: art, music, dance, performance and sport.

We place importance on developing the unique potential of each child.

We view education as a joint venture, involving everyone – children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community. Through these partnerships we aim to provide the best possible educational experience for each child and their family, enabling them to develop independence and a life-long love of learning.
