Sports Day 2015 Oak winners

We enjoyed a fabulous dry and windy sports day on Wednesday.

It was a close race – but when all the results were added up the winners were….OAK Well done! We would like to thank everyone who came along to help and support the children.

Particular thanks go to Margaret Grundle from West Bay who so generously provided the ice-creams.

Monkey World Year 6 trip

Year 6 had a fantastic time visiting Monkey World last Monday. It was great to see everyone relaxing after such a busy term of SATs, amazing hard work and the brilliant Macbeth production. Mr Walsh felt right at home amongst his friends the monkeys!

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside…

The Wrens and Woodpeckers had an eventful day rock-pooling in Lyme Regis last week.   We were able to find a whole variety of sea creatures including crabs, shrimp, snails, whelks, periwinkles, sea lemon slugs, barnacles, limpets and jellyfish. Despite the unfortunate weather we still managed to enjoy an ice cream by the sea and the children coped well with our soggy return to school.

Arts Week 2015

We had a fantastic Jurassic Coast themed Arts Week from 22nd-26th June.  The children worked brilliantly in a variety of workshops including clay fossil making, batik, Jurassic plant modelling, wire sculpting, storytelling, singing and samba.
