At Loders Primary Academy we are committed to safeguarding the welfare and well being of our pupils.
We have clear and highly efficient Child Protection and Whistleblowing procedures. Staff members are trained and skilled in safeguarding procedures.
Loders unique family ethos comes from a constant focus upon ensuring that our pupils are safe, free of prejudice and bullying, and are enabled/feel confident to express themselves. We constantly scrutinise our environment to ensure that it meets our pupils’ entitlement to the best possible facilities and helps to maintain their physical and mental health.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is the Head of School, Ms Claire Pooley.
The Deputy DSLs are Bethan McGrath and Rachel Rawlings.
The safeguarding lead governor is Rachel Shaw.
E-Safety
The internet provides access to a wealth of information and when used appropriately can enhance the children’s education.
E-safety in our school is a priority, we are committed to ensure that our children stay safe online.
- All teaching and non-teaching staff are aware and trained to recognise e-safety issues
- High priority is given to training and continuation training to all staff, including the contribution of the wider school community.
- Clear reporting processes of any incidents are in place
- A progressive e-safety curriculum is provided for all children and continually updated
- A recognised internet service provider (ISP) with age-related filtering is in place
- Good risk assessment in place
- Our E-safety policy is continually updated

PREVENT DUTY
In July 2015, the Government published advice for Governing bodies, school leaders and school staff. The advice explained what the Prevent Duty means for school and how schools should demonstrate compliance with the duty.
The Prevent Duty is part of the school’s safeguarding procedures and practices.
