To make it more attractive to tourists, Snowdon has a lovely café at the bottom  and a train going up and down to a small café at the top, but be careful the prices are very high. .

The hills and mountains of Snowdonia are our  favourite of all the mountain ranges in Great Britain. There are six main paths up Snowdon,
Llanberis Path - Miners Track -
Pig Track - Rhyd Ddu Path -

Snowdon Ranger Path - Watkin Path -

"The mountains of Snowdonia seem  to hold some sort of romantic and mystical air about them and the deep valleys hiding centuries of  history tucked away in small age-old villages, hamlets and farms."

Snowdonia is a popular region for the study of geology. As you walk through its valleys and up the ridges you'll see the result of the ice age everywhere. The Snowdon and Glyder massifs are classic examples of ice-age sculpting with a series of high hanging valleys  on their north east sides separated by sharp ridges.
