Our PTFA is a vital, invaluable asset to the school. Over the years they have provided equipment (most recently the fabulous outdoor play equipment), arranged events including the annual May Fair, Christmas Fair and Schools-Out Concert as well as the children’s discos and parties and competitions throughout the year. They have manned stalls, made tea, provided cakes, paid for coaches and training, subsidised trips and visits and tirelessly raised funds in a myriad of inventive ways. As the title suggests they are a group of parents (mums, dads, grandparents, carers), teachers and friends of the school who meet up regularly to plan their magic. If you are interested in learning more you can contact them through the school office or via their email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Choose a number(s) between 1 and 50 and pay £1 a month for that number (£12 for the year payable in advance). A draw will take place at the end of each month and the winning number will receive £25. This is open to parents, teachers, relatives and friends and there is no limit to the amount of numbers you purchase and no restriction on how many times you can win. Any profits will, as always, be used to support the children of the school. Please see Amy Stephenson (Tilly’s mum) to hand over your money in a clearly marked envelope and let her know your number choice(s). If there are not enough people to run the 50 club successfully all monies will be reimbursed.
Car Treasure Hunt – Sunday 17th September at 3pm.
Cars will be staggered on leaving so don’t worry if you don’t get there until after 3pm. Start and finish at Loders Village Hall, £5 per car to enter. The winning car will receive £50. This is open to all come rain or shine. Afterwards there will be refreshments and a raffle held in the village hall. All donations for refreshments very welcome in the form of sweet or savoury items. This event has been kindly sponsored by Haydon Vets, S J Norman and Sons and JEMS (Dorset). All expenses have therefore been covered and all monies raised will be used for the benefit of the children of the school.
Soon you will be receiving little bags in your child’s bookbag in which to collect used printer cartridges as well a a list of cartridges accepted. We appreciate that not everyone uses printer cartridges, or even has a printer at home, but if you do the school will be paid for any they can recycle. Please return your empties and place them in the cardboard recycling box in the school office. Every bit of money raised goes towards supporting the children of Loders School.

Easter Bake-Off – Thursday 6th April
What a fantastic response to the Bake-Off and subsequent sale we had! Nearly every pupil brought in an entry and it was so difficult to choose a winner and a runner up from each class – all of the cakes and biscuits were brilliant. Thanks to all the Mums for letting the kids do all the hard work! Congratulations to Frank and Bella, Tiana and Libby and Georgia and Evelyn for their entries – worthy winners and runners-up. Here’s some pictures we took before they were eaten …
