Despite being a very wet day, we had a great turnout of friends and family who joined us at the Church for our Harvest Festival on Thursday 19th October. The school band performed fantastically for a rousing rendition of ‘Autumn Days’ to cheer us all up after the rainy walk through the village. Each class shared something on a theme of ‘Harvest of the Sea’ with singing and poetry performed confidently in front of a packed congregation. Our older pupils, with Mrs Pearse, gave a beautiful performance of ‘Pilgrimage Hymn’ sharing the message of our value this half term of generosity. Gifts of food were taken to the altar, later to be donated to our local food bank ‘Cupboard Love’. It was a lovely way to round off the half term!
